Elections will be held across Powys on 5th May 2022, to elect your representative on Powys County Council and your local Town or Community Councillors. Powys County Council has 68 County Councillors, who represent 60 electoral wards. >Notice of Election - County Council Elections< to be published shortly The county of Powys has 1,040 Community Councillors across 110 Town and Community Councils. >Notice of Election - Community Council Elections< to be published shortly Details of all candidates standing for election and which elections will be going to poll in your area, will be available on the PCC website from April 6. It is important to vote at local government elections, as County Councils and Community Councils are responsible for providing local services and facilities.  How to vote - Powys County Council   These County and Community elections will be the first time where newly enfranchised electors, 16-17 year olds and eligible foreign nationals can vote in local elections following the Senedd elections in May 2021.  Its never too late to become a first time voter.   Do you care deeply about your local community? Why not stand for what you care about and become a local Councillor?
